Higher Institute for Advanced Studies

ADMISSION

REQUIREMENTS

The conditions and steps for joining the institute depend on the instructions received by the institute from the Ministry of Higher Education considering the institute is one of the private higher institutes under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, and they are the instructions stemming from Law No. (52) Of (1970) in the matter of organizing private higher institutes, and its regulations Issued by the Minister of Higher Education Decree No. (1088) for the year (1987), and the institute is committed to any changes that occur in these instructions before the start of the academic year according to the developments of the new circumstances. The following is a detailed explanation of the conditions and steps for joining the institute.

HOW TO APPLY?

Admission

1- Information Systems section coordinating stamp NO. (832).
2- Accounting section coordinating stamp NO. (833).

• A medical examination report proves that the student is free from contagious diseases and is fit for further studies.
• Be a full-time study at the institute.
• To have a good reputation.

Documents Required:

1- Application for joining (obtained from the institute’s administration).
2- Passing form.
3- Birth certificate.
4- A photocopy of the students ’national ID card.
5- (6 ) recent personal photos, scale (4 *6).
6- Military form NO. 2, with completed stamps (for males).
7-Military form NO. 6 with completed stamps (for males).

Procedures after students’ admission:

Payment:

Payment of the tuition and additional expenses as decided by the Ministry of Higher Education in this regard. Once, the result is announced, the student pays the expenses (7,657.00 EGP Information Systems section expenses –
7,268.00 EGP Accounting section expenses) divided into two installments, noting that the student who is late in paying expenses after announcing the acceptance result of admission within fifteen days, is considered to have relinquished his place and the institute to accept the next in the order.

After payment:

After paying the expenses, the students required for conscription to provide Military Form NO.2, a military card and a copy of the institute’s ID card, after completing the stamps, for the institute to take the procedures to postpone their enlistment.

Attendance:

Students are obligated to attend the lectures’ sessions continuously, and the attendance rate should not be less than 75%, otherwise the student is considered to have failed the course.

How to be accepted into the institute?

1- Coordination

A- The student identifies his preference through the stamp number: (832 Information Systems Division – 833 Trade Division)
B- Through the electronic coordination website

The qualifications are accepted according to the minimum Academic credit of the student as per the Coordination Office, as soon as the student’s nomination card is issued, the student to be addressed to the Student Affairs Department to complete his registration procedures at the institute, which is filling out the admission application at (75 pounds) in addition to paying the first installment and obtaining the student’s original documents [Academic qualification + Computerized birth certificate + (6) personal photos scale (4*6) + military card and military form NO.2 for males ONLY + a photo of a personal ID.]

2- Transfer to the institute:

Divided into two parts
A- Newcomers:-
Transfer is made through the coordination website, starting from the year 2017/2018.

B- Non-newcomers:
And it takes place in the event that the student is enrolled in an institute or a college and wishes to transfer to our institute.
The student submits the following documents to the Student Affairs Administration:
• The original document of a case statement from the institute in which he is enrolled, indicating his educational status and also, after reviewing the minimum Academic credit on the year of obtaining the qualification.
• A copy of the Academic qualification + a photocopy of the birth certificate + a personal photo of the student (4 * 6 ) + a copy of a national ID card.
• A transfer fee of 275 pounds (75 pounds for joining application + 200 pounds for transfer application).
• The institute gets the approval of the ministry on the transfer request, and then the student pays the expenses and the student receives a letter addressed to the institute from which he is transferred to bring the originals of his papers from the institute from which he is transferred from.

Direct admission is divided into three stages:

A- One chance:

Direct admission is divided into three stages:

In case the student didn’t apply in any institute, in the year he earned the degree. This year is considered “fail”, but the student merits total grade in this year’s courses.
The student submits the following papers to the Student Affairs Administration:
1- Original copy of qualification certificate
2- Original copy of birth certificate
3- 6 personal photos, scale (4*6)
4- Military card #6 + Military Form #2 (for males)
5- Copy of ID card
6- Admission fees 275 EGP (75 for admission request+ 200 for transferring request)
7- The institute, receives approval from the Ministry, for admission request, in addition to original copy of the qualification certificate, finally student pays needed fees.

New Comer Exempted students:

In case the student failed more than one time in the faculty or in the higher institute.
Student applies those documents to student affairs administration:
• The original dismissal certificate showing the grading of the previous years, also referring to the minimum admission in this year or the year the student has earned the qualification whichever is better for the student; Also, the students state of conscription (Males) to be submitted.
• Original copy of qualification certificate
• Original copy of birth certificate
• (6) Personal photos, scale (4*6)
• Military card #6 + Military form # 2 (for males)
• Copy of ID card
• Admission fee 275 EGP (75 for admission request+ 200 for transferring request)
The institute, obtains the approval from the Ministry, after submitting the admission as well as dismissal requests, following this the student will pay the expenses.
Noting that the student who has been dismissed from a division, is not allowed to resubmit in the same division.

Dismissed, but with ONE chance:

In case the student exceeded failure times, but it has been only one year since the dismissal, and student did not enroll in any other institute, in this case the student must apply to the student affairs administration with the following documents:
• Original dismissal certificate, indicating academic years of study, and the conscription state (for males).
• Original copy diploma certificate
• Original copy of birth certificate
• (6) personal photos, scale (4*6)
• Military card #6 + Military Form #2 for males
• Payment fee 275 EGP (75 EG for admission request+ 200 EG for application form)
• The institute gets the approval from the ministry, after submitting the application and the dismissal requests, following this the student to pay all fees.

Conditions For Admission

What are the conditions for admission to the second Academic year?

Terms to transfer to the second Academic Year
The student to be addressed to the student Affairs Administration with the following papers:

• Original statement from the institute in which the student was enrolled, indicating the studies ranking and also, after referring to the minimum of the coordination in the qualification year.

• Original first academic year, credit scores + copy of qualification + Transfer Fee (275 EGP) + Submission request + copy of ID Card + Copy of Birth Certificate
• The application fee is 275 EGP (75 EGP application + 200 submission fees).
• The institute obtains the approval of the ministry on the transfer request, and then the student pays the fees.

Remarks

Noting that, if the student earned “Good” grade in the 1st year academic year, there is no need to refer to the coordination office credit note in the year the student have earned his certification.

2 – Institute Diploma of Management and Secretarial 2-Diploma of Qualitative Studies (Accepted Grade) determined by coordination office 2-Students of School of business and corresponding institutes (Accounting division).

Are accepted as successful

Also, students transferred from First academic year with one or Two courses

Taking into consideration the minimum credit for acceptance by the coordination office,

in case student did not attempt “Good” grade

2- Students of the Corresponding institutes of (Computer System division) who passed or being Transferred to the following year with one course or two, Coordination office credit note must be taken into consideration, in case student did not attempt “good” grade. are only directly accepted

In case of the previous year only and to be treated as repeating the Academic year or like an opportunity

For first academic year

2-Corresponding institutes’ students, Computer system Division or ones who are transferred with one or two courses.

“Suez & Abbassya branches” with “Good” grade, are being accepted through the coordination office, and may be also be approved by ministry.

1-Accepts students who succeeded the second academic year or transferred to the third academic year with one or two courses from faculty of commerce or corresponding institutes “commercial division”, 1-Computer information system Diploma, with “Good” degree nominated to other institutes
2 – Higher institute of qualitative studies

“Heliopolis branch”

Minimum secondary school grades, in condition

that the student degree is less than “Good”.

2 – Transferred from corresponding institutes “Information system division”, who passed from second academic year or newcomer or failed in one or two courses
3-Higher Institute of computer “Sohag”
4-Ramses college for girls

Student applies to students’ affairs administration with the following documents:

1- Original statement from the institute the student has been registered, indicating the student case and reviewing the minimum credit note for acceptance at the institute in the Academic year .
2- First and second academic year.
3- Original copy of birth certificate
4- (6) Personal photos scale (4*6)
5- Military card #6 + Military Form #2 (for males)
6- Copy of ID card
7- Admission fee 275 EGP (75 for admission request + 200 for transferring request)
8- The institute, receives approval from the Ministry, for admission request, after that the student pays required fees.

Steps for re-enrollment:

(Years repeated in each academic year at the institute, in accordance with article 80 of the University Organization and Amendment Act).
*Taking in consideration conscription status.

Second Year Third Year
Student is allowed to repeat 2nd year up to 3 times:

Newcomer
Left to repeat the academic year
First chance to apply to exams from Abroad.

Student is allowed to repeat 3rd year up to 5 times:

1-Newcomer

2-Left to repeat the academic year

3-First chance from abroad

4- Second chance from abroad

Third chance from abroad

When student depletes chances (newcomer or left to repeat), student must be addressed to the students’ affairs administration at the institute before the beginning of the academic year, to apply for re-register application for a first time opportunity from abroad, to provide first installment of the tuition fees+ 200 EGP for re-registering. The last one is available to be paid till middle of the academic year and or before the start of the exams of first semester, as to undergo with the re-registration procedures and take approval from Ministry of Higher Education for an opportunity from abroad. Before the beginning of academic year, student must re-register application, to the student affairs administration, with a chance from abroad, even with First, Second OR Third chance, to provide first installment + 200 EGP for re-registering

The last one is available to be paid till middle of the academic year and or before the start of the exams of first semester, as to undergo with the re-registration procedures and take approval from Ministry of Higher Education for an opportunity from abroad.
